Jerry L. McCombs, OD

Dr. Jerry McCombs graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston in 1976, where he continued on to receive his Doctorate of Optometry, Cum Laude, in 1981.

Soon after graduating, he received his license to practice optometry by the Texas Optometry Board. That same year he relocated to Teague, Texas to join the practice of John R. Dobbs, Jr.,O.D. Dr. McCombs purchased the practice in 1984, where he currently sees patients.

In 1992 the Texas Optometry Board licensed Dr. McCombs to practice Therapeutic Optometry, and in 2001 he was licensed as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. He is currently a member of the Heart of Texas Optometric Society, the Texas Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. McCombs is a past President of the Teague Chamber of Commerce and the Teague Rotary Club. In 1997, he received the Bill Boyd Service Cup, presented by the Teague Chamber of Commerce for outstanding community service.
